sneak peek

I have finally received all the fabric for the baby's bedding and am in the process of getting it sewn. I have finished the bumpers, and will be making a bed skirt, blanket, and probably some pillows. Well, let's say I am going to attempt to make all of this. I realize most people may have their nurseries completely set up by this point, but that's just not how we roll. The "nursery" still appears as an office/guitar room/guest bedroom. If she comes early, we'll just put some blankets in an empty guitar case for her I guess. Anyway, here's a sneak peek at the 2 main fabrics. . .
yesss...a finished bumper pad

Wow, I think you've already accomplished the hardest part! The bumpers were the hardest I thought. They look great, and I can't wait to see all of it finished! You look really cute by the way.... Love you!

you did great girl! my mom is super seamstress and she lovingly told me that she hopes she never has to make bumper pads ever again after making adelaide's.
and that fabric is too cute for words. i can't wait to see the finished products, the baby and the bedding.

Hey Sharon. I do read this blog (every once in a while - sorry. I forget). I read it today!
>I love your momservations - right on (w/ the exception of her favorite kid - definitely Macy).
>As for the name begins w/ a consonant/vowel poll, I was looking for the option of a vowell with an umlaut over it. Didn't see it.
>Hope you had fun in Chicago and I'll come back for pictures. Love you.

I know you are a good seamstress because bailey has an adorable pair of shoes to prove it! She is wearing them in one of the pics on my blog. Good luck with your bedding project!

Thanks for writing back...I'll look forward to adding your Blog to my list and seeing all the baby fun you have ahead. I also just couldn't help but think after seeing this post, and reading your post about teaching, maybe you should design baby bedding! I love what you came up with! There just isn't enough fun, modern stuff for kids out there! It will be cool to see what kinds of creative entreprenueal endeavors come for you out of being a mom...it gets the creative juices flowing! I have a website too, www.bethsaxton.com, if you want to check it out. It's what developed for me after Carter was born. Once again...great bedding!
